About

I’m Jai from Copper Kettle Creative

Before stepping into web design, I spent years working as a singer and dancer and later as a vocal coach, educator and artist manager. My work has always centred around creativity: supporting artists, shaping ideas and helping people present themselves with clarity and confidence.

Along the way, I found myself creating websites out of necessity. Like many creatives, I was juggling multiple projects and budgets so I taught myself how to build websites, develop branding and even write a bit of code (something my old science teacher would never quite believe!).

What started as a practical skill quickly became something more.

I began designing websites and visual identities for the artists and projects I was working with and before long, other creatives started asking:

“Who made your website?”

“Can I have their details?”

Eventually, the answer became clear. It was time to offer this work as part of what I do.

  • A Creative Approach to Web Design

My approach to web design is shaped by my background in music and the creative industries.

I think about websites in much the same way I think about songs, through:

    • structure and flow

    • balance and contrast

    • texture and variation

Every element has a role to play, and when it all comes together, it creates something that feels effortless and cohesive.

That’s what I aim to create for every client, a website that not only looks beautiful, but feels right.

  • I know how important it is for creative people to feel understood.

Many of my clients come to me feeling unsure about how to present themselves online or overwhelmed by the technical side of websites. My role is to make that process feel simple, collaborative and grounded.

The goal is to create a space that reflects your work clearly and allows your audience to connect with what you do.
